Basic Orthopedics Skills Simulation Workshops

Description & Objectives:

Basic Orthopedic Skills Simulation Block is a four-week intensive skills course for PGY-1 residents, which includes training in basic orthopedics skills to prepare residents to participate in surgical procedures, as well as basic surgical training in general.  This will enhance the residents’ acquisition of skills early in their training to better prepare them for more advanced skills later.

• Video demonstration
• Practical sessions
• Role play sessions
• Surgical skill training

Target Group:  PGY-1 Residents

Duration:  Four weeks (block 7)

Venue:  OMSB Medical Simulation Center and Training Sites
