Welcome to Oman Medical Specialty Board e-learning platform. Please carefully read the following terms before accessing OMSB e-learning site. By accessing the site (which includes, visiting, registering, or accessing a course) you accept and agree to all covenants and conditions imposed in this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access the site. The terms (Tebyan, Oman Medical Specialty Board, OMSB, us, or we) refer to the owner of this e-learning platform which is the Oman Medical Specialty Board, Sultanate of Oman. By using this OMSB e-learning platform, you agree that you have read, understand, and agree to these terms. You also agree to review this agreement periodically to be aware of modifications to the agreement. Your continued use of this platform will be considered your conclusive acceptance of any modified agreement.

1. General

1.1. OMSB reserves the right to change the content used at any time.
1.2. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.
1.3. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the bylaws and regulations of OMSB


2. E-Learning Materials

2.1. The e-Learning material (excluding Open Educational Resources (OER) and External Websites) are property of OMSB.
2.2. This e-Learning material (excluding OER and External Websites) has been developed, maintained, hosted, and updated by OMSB.
2.3. The use of the e-Learning material on our modules is restricted to the Registered User who has been supplied with the login details by OMSB.
2.4. The Registered User shall not copy, share, modify, distribute, or in any way, use the copyrighted materials provided by OMSB other than for their own individual learning.
2.5. The Registered User shall not permit anyone else to copy, modify, distribute, or in any way, use the copyrighted materials.
2.6. OMSB may make improvements, or changes, to e-learning material at any time without prior notification.
2.7. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.


3. Access to OMSB e-learning courses

3.1. OMSB is committed to providing uninterrupted content to the registered user of the e-learning platform. To that end, OMSB will take all reasonable efforts to provide uninterrupted access of the courses to its clients. However, from time to time, users may be unable to access the content due to conditions beyond OMSB control. Such conditions include, but are not limited to power outages, software issues, server downtime, increased Internet traffic or downtime, programming errors, regular maintenance of the system, and other related reasons. In response to any unavailability of the content to its users, OMSB will take all reasonable steps to ensure access is restored within a reasonable time.
3.2. OMSB makes all efforts to provide the highest quality content to its clients. To that end, OMSB reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change, modify, or discontinue any aspect or feature of any module in whole or in part, including, without limitation, the content, availability, and access to the learning modules.
3.3. Users are responsible for ensuring that they have sufficient and compatible hardware, software, and Internet service necessary for use of the platform and access to content.
3.4. OMSB shall make reasonable efforts to provide technical support Sunday to Thursday between the hours of 8 am –2 pm excluding holidays.


4. Third Party Content: OER and Hyperlinks

4.1. OMSB makes no warranty, either expressed or implied, of the accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of the information provided by third parties. This includes, but is not limited to, any information found on a link located on the platform that allows users to access information found on another site. Additionally, OMSB does not
warrant the existence or functionality of any website which can be accessed through a link located on this site.
4.2. OMSB or its third party content providers shall retain all worldwide rights in the intellectual property in and on the platform, including but not limited to, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, inventions, ideas, trade secrets, the source code, the HTML code, the "look and feel" of the Site, its color combinations, layout, and all other graphical elements, and the copyrights in and to its original content. You should assume that everything you read or see on the platform is copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise protected and owned or licensed by OMSB.
4.3. Except as expressly stated on the platform site or in these Terms, nothing that you read or see on the Site or in the courses may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, transmitted, republished, displayed, or performed for commercial use without the prior written consent except as provided in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms grants you an express or implied license to use any of OMSB's intellectual property.

 

5. User Privacy Policy

5.1. This privacy policy only applies to user information that OMSB collects through the e-learning platform site and does not apply to information collected in other ways (for example, information over the phone, or mail).
5.2. All user records are protected by the OMSB and shall not to be used by other parties unless for research or improvement purposes by the OMSB only.
5.3. Comments or other information posted by the user on the platform on forums, wikis, or other areas of the site designed for public communications or communications among other users may be viewed and downloaded by others who visit the platform.
5.4. “Personal Information” means any information that the registered user may provide when using the platform, such as your name, contact information, gender, date of birth, and occupation.
5.5. OMSB endeavors to limit the collection of Personal Information to what is needed with respect to specific platform activities. We have the rights to update these terms and be effective on the day modified as written at the bottom of this page.
